H.W. Wilson Works with NetLibrary to Distribute Titles as eBooks
NEW YORK – July 7, 2000 – Through an agreement with NetLibrary
Inc., a leading provider of eBooks and Internet-based content
management services, select Wilson reference works soon will be
available as eBooks, H.W. Wilson has announced.
NetLibrary provides libraries and their patrons access to
academic, reference, scholarly, professional and trade eBooks
that can be viewed, searched, and checked out via the Internet.
The company distributes content from many leading commercial
publishers and university presses.
Wilson eBooks will include titles from the acclaimed Wilson
Chronologies series, the Facts Series, and Wilson biographical
references.
The first titles available will be Wilson Chronology of Science
and Technology; Wilson Chronology of Women's Achievements;
Wilson Chronology of Ideas; HIV/AIDS Information for Children;
World Film Directors Volume 1; World Film Directors Volume 2;
Nobel Prize Winners Supplement 1992-1996; and American
Reformers.
Upcoming titles are expected to include American Book of Days,
Fourth Edition; Famous First Facts About American Politics;
Famous First Facts About Sports; Facts About American
Immigration; Facts About the Congress; Facts About the States;
Facts About the Supreme Court of the United States; Wilson
Calendar of World History; Wilson Chronology of the World's
Religions; Wilson Chronology of Asia and the Pacific; and Wilson
Chronology of Human Rights. Others are planned.
